Are takeaway coffee cups recyclable? YES! Cleansed coffee cups can be recycled as tetra-pak at re Kiosk.
Join our "Recycle Coffee Cups" event to practice clean recycling of coffee cups (and also other beverage paper cups) and earn up to 100 GreenU Points!
Event Details
Period: 30 March – 30 April 2026 (Mon–Fri, excluding public holidays)
Time: 11:00 – 17:30
Location: re Kiosk (opposite to the G/F entrance of Runme Shaw Building)
How to earn GreenU Points:

Cleanse your coffee cups or other beverage paper cups (EMPTY, RINSE, DRY);

Show the cups to the staff at the re Kiosk counter;

RECYCLE the cups at the Tetra-pak compartment of re Kiosk;

Get 20 GreenU Points at the re Kiosk counter.
(Each HKU member can only be rewarded once per week, and earn up to 100 GreenU Points for the entire event period.)

From now until 30 April 2026, simply recycle your coffee cups or other beverage paper cups at re Kiosk, apart from earning 20 GreenU Points, you can earn ONE extra Carbon Wallet e-coupon by presenting your Carbon Wallet account to our on-duty staff at the re Kiosk counter.
