Co-organised by CEDARS-GE and Sustainability Unit of Estates Office, "Earth Day 2026 - Low Carbon Living Carnival" will be held on 22 April to celebrate the Earth Day this year!
Aligning with the Earth Day’s theme, Our Power, Our Planet, our Carnival will feature a range of booths that combine education and fun to showcase various low carbon choices in Clothing, Food and Living. HKU members are invited to participate and learn how to contribute your power to reduce carbon footprints for our planet.

Arrangements for redeeming low carbon food in the Carnival:

Present your HKU student/staff card at the reception; follow our social media pages to receive a low carbon food redemption stamp card.

Earn stamps by completing tasks at designated booths (limited to 1 stamp per booth, maximum of 4 stamps per redemption card).

Redeem up to 3 food items with your collected stamps at the Green Kitchen booths (Each person can only redeem one single food item for each Green Kitchen booth).
To support the "low carbon living" theme, disposable tableware will not be provided. Students and staff are encouraged to “Bring Your Own” (B.Y.O.) cutlery and lunchboxes to enjoy the low carbon food.
Remarks:

This event is for HKU students and staff only. Students and staff are required to present your HKU student/staff cards to enter the event venue.

Food items are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

Each HKU student and staff can earn 20 GreenU Points for participating in the Carnival. (get the 20 GreenU Points at our exit booth)
